Day 1 Arrive Sydney

Arrive in Sydney where you will be met by a Grand Pacific Tours Tour Guide on board the Celebrity Solstice. Meet your travelling companions at the group welcome. Spend the next twelve nights aboard Celebrity Solstice in a deluxe balcony cabin with all meals included.

Day 2 Sydney at leisure

Enjoy a full day in one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the Southern Hemisphere. Sydney offers just about anything - from beaches and wineries to stunning landmarks and world-class shopping. Ship sails at 18:30.

Day 3 At sea

Relax and enjoy the comforts of this stunning superliner. While at sea enjoy the on board facilities, the world class cuisine and the entertainment.

Day 4 Melbourne

Explore Melbourne, a cultural melting pot host to major international events. Arrive 08:00. Depart 18:00.

Days 5 & 6 At Sea

Cruise across the Tasman Ocean to the Land of the Long White Cloud.

Day 7 Milford Sound

Sail into the narrow fiords of the Milford, Doubtful & Dusky Sounds. Your massive ship will seem to shrink in comparison to the towering cliffs topped by lush mountain terrain.

Day 8 Dunedin

Dunedin is known as the Edinburgh of the South. Arrive 09:00. Depart 19:00.

Day 9 Akaroa

Nestled in the heart of an ancient volcano, Akaroa is rich with beautiful bays and home to the rarest and smallest marine dolphin. Arrive 08:00. Depart 18:00.

Day 10 Wellington

The nation's Capital is home to The National Museum of New Zealand - Te Papa Tongarewa, loosely translated as "our place" from the native Maori tongue. Arrive 08:00. Depart 18:00.

Day 11 At Sea

Enjoy a quiet refuge by day, gazing over the sea with a cocktail at hand.

Day 12 Tauranga

Known as the Bay of Plenty, Tauranga is located at the entrance to one of the largest natural harbours in New Zealand. Arrive 08:00. Depart 18:00.

Day 13 Auckland

This morning arrive into the beautiful City of Sails, Auckland, disembark the ship and meet your Coach Captain. Enjoy an informative city tour including a visit to the spectacular Sky Tower; standing at 328 metres, the two viewing platforms offer breathtaking views. This afternoon visit Kelly Tarlton's Sea Life Aquarium to see New Zealand's unique aquatic life up close, including a large collection of sharks, gigantic stingrays, and beautiful seahorses. Overnight at the Rendezvous Grand Hotel Auckland. Meals included: breakfast, dinner.

Day 14 Auckland to Bay of Islands

Depart Auckland and travel to Matakohe to enjoy an informative talk at the Kauri Museum. After lunch travel north through Dargaville to the unforgettable Footprints Waipoua encounter, with some of the largest remaining kauri trees in the world. A local guide will take you on an intimate encounter to learn how these trees are inter-twined with the lives of local Maori and the important role they play in the eco-system that is the Waipoua Forest. Continue to Paihia, situated in the heart of the beautiful Bay of Islands. Overnight at the Scenic Hotel Bay of Islands in Paihia. Meals included: breakfast, dinner.

Day 15 Bay of Islands

This morning enjoy a guided tour of the Waitangi Treaty Grounds, the location of the signing of the treaty between the Maori tribes and the British. The rest of today is free. Choose from the many optional activities available, including the Hole in the Rock Cruise, a relaxing luncheon cruise or a spectacular scenic flight. The choice is yours and your Tour Guide & Coach Captain will be available to assist. Overnight at the Scenic Hotel Bay of Islands in Paihia. Meals included: breakfast, dinner.

Day 16 Bay of Islands to Auckland

Bid farewell the Bay of Islands and drive south via Whangarei, Wellsford and Warkworth to Auckland for some free time. This evening is also free for you to dine at one of the many fine restaurants. Overnight at the Rendezvous Grand Hotel Auckland. Meal included: breakfast.

Day 17 Auckland to Rotorua

Depart Auckland and travel to Waitomo for a tour of the Glowworm Caves where tiny creatures radiate their luminescent light. Continue to Hobbiton for a barbecue lunch followed by an experience of the real Middle-earth with a visit to the Hobbiton Movie Set. A guide will escort you through the ten acre site recounting fascinating details of how the Hobbiton set was created. Continue to the geothermal wonderland of Rotorua. Overnight at the Hotel Sudima Hotel Lake Rotorua (Superior Room). Meals included: breakfast, lunch, dinner.

Day 18 Rotorua

Today begins with a Gondola ride to the Cableway Restaurant where a buffet breakfast and spectacular views are on offer. Travel to the Agrodome where you see performing sheep, a shearing display and sheep dog trial. Enjoy some free time this afternoon before travelling to Te Puia to see the boiling mud pools and awesome Geysers that Rotorua is famous for. This evening experience an entertaining Maori Hangi and Concert. Overnight at the Hotel Sudima Hotel Lake Rotorua (Superior Room). Meals included: breakfast, dinner.

Day 19 Rotorua to Queenstown

Travel to Auckland Airport for a local flight to the resort town of Queenstown, located in the South Island. Meet your South Island Coach Captain and enjoy a town tour of historic Arrowtown before arriving at your hotel. Overnight at the Hotel Millennium Queenstown. Meals included: breakfast, dinner.

Day 20 Queenstown

Today is a free day. There are plenty of sightseeing options and your Tour Guide and Coach Captain are available to assist. You may wish to enjoy the thrill of a jet boat ride, a heritage tour of the scenic Skippers Canyon or the helicopter ride of a lifetime. This evening is free and you may wish to dine high above Queenstown at the Skyline Restaurant or board the vintage steamship TSS Earnslaw and cruise across Lake Wakatipu for dinner at Walter Peak Station. Overnight at the Hotel Millennium Queenstown. Meal included: breakfast.

Day 21 Queenstown to Franz Josef

Travel via the Haast Pass to the West Coast, an area of stunning beauty. See the snow-capped peaks of the Southern Alps as you travel north to Fox Glacier. Time is available (weather permitting) to experience a scenic flight (optional, not included) over the spectacular glaciers before continuing to Franz Josef. Overnight at the Scenic Hotel Franz Josef Glacier. Meals included: breakfast, dinner.

Day 22 Franz Josef to Christchurch

Travel to Hokitika and visit the Greenstone Factory before continuing to Arthur's Pass and to board The TranzAlpine, renowned as one of the great train journeys of the world. Descend through spectacular gorges, river valleys and over massive viaducts before completing your journey at Christchurch. This evening enjoy a farewell dinner with your new found friends. Overnight at the Sudima Hotel Christchurch Airport. Meals included: breakfast, dinner.

Day 23 Depart Christchurch

Time to say goodbye and you'll be transferred to the airport for your onward flight after a memorable New Zealand holiday. Meal included: breakfast.
